I have heard there is a big fort and tunnels under hill 60 in wollongongnis this true can you still get in? Also winddang island near there my father told me when we used to vist the area whenni was a kid there are bunkers under it, anybody have info on that other places to explire in wollgong area

It's a very nice and historic bunker system, pity it's been allowed to be trashed like that, really p1sses me off.
They even left the blast shield from one of the guns in the northern gun emplacement to rust away and get vandalised as it would have cost more to remove it than it was worth as scrap!

When I finally checked it out with Blakjak and some others a while ago I wondered why I had left it for so long. Very interesting bunker, and nothing like I had seen before.

Visited Hill 60 yesterday and it is still a good place to explore, everything is still open. I will have a New Topic about it up soon

I am hoping to make my way to Mittagong for a couple of places before making a bit of a detour to see Hill 60.
I have found it on Google Earth but can't really seem to pin point the entry for the bunker, don't suppose anyone could tell me?
