Abandoned structure in Pyrmont

I've always seen this place driving past when I was younger, but then forgot where I saw it.

Today I google maps'd a location and am planning to go check it out sometime this week.

Has anyone else seen this place/been here?

That is the former Edwin Davey flour mill. (click name)
It used to have it's own siding till the Rozelle to Darling Harbour Goods Line was converted into a tram line in the mid 1990s.

Apparently it's going to be redeveloped soon, see links below...

all very interesting but a sparse few things to see anymore, they recently removed the rubble pile and tore down some internal walls added some new supports and cleared the road and made an unload area for trucks to dump their warez.

Great shots anyway as I've always wondered what it was like until it got partly demolished. I have a film scanner if required. Otherwise just go to office works.

Fun place to check out even though its pretty much just 3 walls, been there a few times on my own and have gotten a fair few photos. It wasn't really a place I wanted to hang around for too long!

Usually I wouldn't give live updates here - to be honest there's really no point going now.

Huge crane on the site now. Rather surprised it took this long.

it took this long because they were waiting for an internal non structural wall to become structurally unsound. the whole place is heritage listed so any development has to keep the existing infrastructure relatively unchanged,

the wall was in their way they so they had to wait, theres news footage of it coming down, seven news i think.

the exact same can be said for all the abandoned structures in pyrmont, including white bay and CUB brewery. theres a nice abandoned factory just past the casino taxi rank above the light rail tunnel, dying to go inside if anyone wants to um "gain" entry let me know.

above the tidal outflow in blackwattle bay is the same story and the area under the cliffs adjacent the pump house across from the park

Could've told you that, I was 90% sure that was it when I drove into the driveway to do a U turn while having a look around Pyrmont while an old tradie was on a smoko giving me funny looks haha.

What condition is this factory in? Vandalism/graffiti or not?

Its currently a construction site. their clearing the site at the moment the inner area has been smoothed out and as said above theres a crane.

its a construction site i dunno what else to say but it has 3 nice walls and some supports the lower areas have some clean spots if your looking to graf but you wanna be one of those that climbed up the trusses to get up

It's been an empty shell since 2001. Only 2 of the 4 exterior walls are standing, and only just.
There is really nothing there to see anymore, you missed the boat by about 12 years.
