Just be wise, if it's even remotely a bad idea then don't do it, and stay out of the way of emergency vehicles. Though I personally wouldn't think it would affect most sites. Actually in all fairness most police would be busy and wouldn't give explorers a visit, but they don't want to rescue you either haha.

My mate who lives in Lithgow said he couldn't leave town today as all the roads were blocked by cops. The Great Western Hwy is also blocked at Springwood.

There's a special place called solitary for scum like this when caught, as it's the only way they will survive imprisonment.

Don't always believe what the media says. The fire that was started by the army was initially blamed on 2 kids, and the charges are yet to be dropped even though the army has claim the blame.
I recon that people dressing as rescue/fire crews just to loot sounds a bit far fetched, don't you? Think about it for a minute.

Am wishing to go back to the Furnace at Lithgow as these photographs are quite a few years old, was quite a beautiful place and no one seems to mind wandering through there.

The other is a tunnel that ran underneath the trains and was old and nice too though I couldn't give an exact location as to where it lay.

I'm pretty sure the Lithgow Council actually encourage visits of the Blast Furnace. There's been a few photographer's gatherings there recently too.

Not exactly the same deal with an old abandoned castle, however there are signs pointing in it's direction at the closest train station, and no fences or private property signs to suggest otherwise.

There's some other abandoned buildings nearby.

If anyone happens to venture up to the mountains on a weekday, I'll most likely be free for some exploring company; there is a fair amount of it up here.

I'm curious who ripped out that top wood walkway though..? My guess is they used it for firewood.

Haven't been for a while now, I'm pretty sure the house nearest to the train line has been demolished though. Also the shed's being used as a skatepark as I'm sure you know, so maybe they needed some extra materials? Haha.
