Catherine hill bay is located about 10 minutes south of swansea. There is a massive wharf there which was used untill the 80s for loading coal ships. I have been to the site of the coalariry, you cant get on the wharf its blocked by to big steal gates no way past them. From up top of the actual coalary site there is a fenced of section. Inside of this is what i assueme was where coal was dropped to the wharf. Very dangerous over a 100foot dead drop. No buildings are left but u can see alot of the foundations.

BEST BIT. One if the foundations have ramps going down on both sides. They have yellow hand rails and appear to be the entrance to a mine. Only sheet aluminium is bloking the entrance, a battery angle grinder will get u in. I have the required tools to get acess just need some advice on tunnel safety before proceeding, happy to show anyone where this site is. If i have said anything dumb please go easy on me im a newbie at this

Question, and if this falls in to the realm of 'something that shouldn't be publicly posted' then delete it admins, but aren't battery powered angle grinders impossible to get unless you are in the SES/fireies?

And you can buy them at trade tools, bunnings etc. Along with cordless Sabre saws, Circular saws and just about anything you could think of that cuts/drills.
What you use them for, on the other hand, is a different story altogether.

You shouldn't mention location details, and especially shouldn't mention entry methods, especially something like an angle grinder which is widely frowned up (and any other method of damaging a location to gain access).

Clearly I was mis-informed

The reason I heard on a forum (and fyi I didn't pose the question, the only break-and-enter like tool I ever carry is a screwdriver(doubles as a bit of defense against drugies and easily discarded)) was because graffers like to cut through fences, rather then climb over them.

Damage a location to gain access, remember to fix it once you leave

or replace locks etc with your own to provide easier access in future lol

Good point. Although locks I've seen replaced by others don't tend to be kept in place very long before they are removed and security is increased.

Update, tunnel entrance is now open, somebody not me has cut a massive hole in the entrance. Went about 50m in, look intrresting but bit relucent to go right in as its a mine

I got told about this place by a friend and went in at night through the street nearest to the beach and could walk in via the half destroyed fence on the side, its quite beautiful but I could not get into that area you described with the drop. He did mention about a possible weak spot in the metal fence but I am unsure where.

I have seen a few cars there during the day so I would be a bit cautious.

I am more interested in getting on the wharf that has those heavy sheets of metal, apparently you could use a large ladder to get across and I'm not sure of the padlock that's on it.

Pm me i can tell u how 2 get near the area with the dead droos but the way i did it is very risky
