Taking pictures: What type of camera do you use?

Be it DSLR or iPhone, this thread is for all who have shutter-eyes.

What do you use?
Have a favourite lens when urbexing?
Use a flash?

My personal kit so far is a canon 7d with a 50mm standard and tripod.

(Also very interested if anyone has a Lytro) 8-)

I use a Canon 600D, it has so many different features, and produces very good quality photos. My favourite piece of camera equipment has to be my Remote Switch for long exposures but :P

Canon 7d, I mostly shoot Urbex stuff with my Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM lens on.

I love my Canon G1x but I always have access to my GFs 1DII and 450D.

Jelly. I have the G12. I still love it :P Potential for decent photos with such a relatively small camera.

I've seen the Lytro, it's pretty innovative, but when you see how many megapixels in the photo it captures, it quickly becomes a novelty and a paperweight. Interesting nonetheless though, and the science is amazing.

I'd be laughing at you if I hadn't seen the epic photos you've taken. :D

+1 Also, flash flattens everything unless you can bounce. Though nowadays, sometimes I balance out the foreground if it's, for example, under a large tree with the on-camera flash except I put a piece of paper in front to soften it. DIY at its best.

I use a 600D too. Did you get Magic Lantern? :D

So jealous of your lens. I still remember your shot of the canal system near/under a highway. That was some great stuff.

As for myself, I use a 600D with 18-55mm kit lens. Saving up for a wide-angle as always.

Just like my 3D camera, it's fun, but too impractical.

You have a 3D camera? Does it take two simultaneous shots from different angles or something? *interested*

I had a G12 and loved it, but I started getting annoyed by the noise of the CCD sensor. I still think the focus chip and the lens is better on the G12, but the G1x sensor (a cut down 5d3 sensor) and image processor are incredible!

I have a 12mp point & shoot snapper job, but the photographic talent in the urbex game never ceases to amaze me. Some of the best pix I have ever seen where taken by explorers in an urbex setting. And I also love how long exposures in a dark tunnel or drain always bring out the orb ghost hunters. :)

Does anybody here still use film?

Hey guys, I shoot mostly with analog cameras (Film Cameras), cameras that I have and are using for Urbex include my: Pentax Spotmatic, Lomo LC-A, Polaroid Sun 600, Pentax Espio 928 and my Lomo Fisheye! I also own a Super 8 film camera and hope to when I receive some film for it, experiment with filming some of the locations I go! Thanks guys!
