Sigma has a good range of 10-20mm lenses.

I would however opt for the older sigmas (I think 10-20mm 4-5.6 is older), because the quality control of the newer models aren't so good. I bought one that had slight decentering and had to return it (ie one corner of the pic was really blurry when you zoom in). Then again it depends how lucky you are.
Just a harmless explorer. No need to waste taxes checking me ;)

A bit of a late reply but I would strongly recommend the Tokina 11-16mm 2.8 (either the original version of the updated version)

Refer to Tokina 11-16mm and Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 II for reviews of the two lenses.

I own the original version of this lens and love it because it's got practically the largest aperture of any UWA on the market. And yes both versions of this lens are rectilinear.

I use the Sigma 10-20mm on a D7000 when I shoot real estate photos. It converts to 15mm and is sharp and fairly robust. It gets good reviews too. Recommended.

And with a cropped chip you get great depth of field at f4

That being said it's the only non-Nikon lens I own preferring 16-35mm on a full frame camera for the sharpness and when you don't need better than f4.
Always carry a tripod. They're useful for smacking down junkies & scrappers.
