Hope to find more as time goes on.
Quite a few of us here from Brissy. Great to meet another!
I'm interstate at the moment, but I'll try to organise a group meetup in the near future, so keep a lookout.
There sure are some nice old drains near the city, which ones have you found so far?

I agree Brisbane has some nice ones, I seem to have found Batcave and Darkie, I think I may have found another one right near the story bridge, not sure of the name though.
There is a Darkie at Brisbane (high outfall) and another Darkie at 'gabba.
The one at the Story bridge is probably 1973 - An arched stone drain. That's probably the one you found.
I actually haven't checked out all the city has to offer yet. Looking forward to doing some more soon.

Feel free to use the qld section to arrange a trip, too. Maybe with a bunch of new (to uega, not necessarily exploring) people in bris, it could be a good time to arrange a cruizy drain trip to meet some peopleaydun wrote:Create your own thread rather than posting in a two year old one.
Was a while ago, but at the time, I think I saw (or heard of) Checkmate referred to as Darkie.
