Your best bet is to head into the city, look up, find a roof you're interested in, and give it a shot.
Just understand you're going to fail. A lot.
The scene isn’t what it used to be.
Motion alarms on rooftop doors are much more common now, and even when there aren’t any, the doors are almost always locked. These days, it is much easier to hit construction sites late at night than to access a residential rooftop. But those come with their own set of risks.
Most sites are alarmed and have active security, and getting in usually means scaling a tall fence sometimes topped with barbed wire and often located right next to a busy main road.
I’m not trying to discourage you just being realistic about what’s involved.
That said, if you do manage to get past all that, some of my favorite urbex memories were made in those moments.
Finding creative ways around all the security measures is 90% fun and makes you feel as if you are pulling off a heist straight out of an Ocean’s Eleven movie.
