Exploring when you have responsabilities

When I didn't have carer responsibilities, and the only life that relied on me was mine, I used to get out a lot and explore. But now I'm older and there are lives that depend on me to do tings like feed them, clean up after them and so on, I don't get out to explore as much as I used to. The reality is that I can't do weekend trips like I used to, or get away on exploring holidays.

Don't get me wrong, I don't regret having little ones to care for, and I'd never choose the exploring life over having them. But yeah, things are different now.

How do you balance life's responsibilities and caring duties against exploring? How do you still get out to explore?
