So this is my first post here, I am not new to Urban Exploration been rummaging about for over 20 years now, though never tried to join a community before.
I am reaching out as I am doing research towards my phd into how our disused urban environments can influence electronic music production. Basically the work is an auto-enthnographic look into the cultural practice and how these environments can be captured and used throughout a number of different sound design methods in music production.
Just seeing if anyone is willing to help by answering a few research question on why they enjoy exploring and do what they do, if keen to be apart of the work please PM me and I will send the questions there, obviously can be completely anonymous. Also was looking for any help finding locations that are acoustically interesting, places with a distinct soundscape or resonance (like echo) would be really appreciated for some location tips through out Sydney.
