Hey everyone,

About a year and a bit ago I made an introduction post and you were all fantastic and supportive, but due to my living circumstances at the time I ended up dropping my urbex desire until it was a more feasible activity for me to get in to. Now I'm back and keen to meet you guys properly, and if any of you are down it'd be rad to catch up :D For my introduction, I'm an 18 year old dude from the Frankston area, my interest is pretty heavily in rooftopping (which I understand the risks of, legality and gravity-wise) as drains and abandos aren't really my thing. Too many spiders and tight places

I'll be doing some expeditions soon to scout out some of the views around the city, but I've got a couple of curious ones down my area which could make an appearance in the nearish future. I guess to promote discussion, any tips for an aspiring rooftopper? Thanks again :)

Once upon a time the Peninsula Centre was abandoned, 14 floors of explorable goodness, featuring Cinema, Night Club, Shops, offices & Rooftop.

Now it's a hotel and some apartments I think, but still a rooftop there.

Hey thanks for the tip, I know the place and didn't realise it had that kind of a past, that's pretty sweet :) looks like it's just apartments now, reckon the view'd be pretty rad though. Are you a local by any chance?

Tips for rooftops - dont get caught, if you do get caught run. Also dont ask people for spots because theyll not give you them and they'll dislike you for it. Rooftops are fun, I'm glad you understand the risks.

Best of luck!

I guess I wouldn't want to be taking chances having a chat at that point, I'll keep it in mind. Yeah, I've picked up from lurking around here for a while that asking for spots is seriously discouraged so I promise not to be "that guy".

Although, I did have a fun time when I went to check out the (now formerly) Peninsula Centre roof as recommended by Nick. Fun for... all the wrong reasons unfortunately
