So I've purchased flights to japan and of course fukushima is on the list. I know Im probably speaking to a very small percentage of you on here but just curious if anyone has any experience or can recommend a geiger counter. I dont plan on getting close enough where radiation will be a real genuine threat, more just to feed my curiorstity of "oh yes would you look at that, there is radiation a few kilometers away from where some fuel rods melted down"
I wouldn't be surprised if you could hire stuff like that in Japan, it seems common for people to visit the region these days for various reasons. There's a few on ebay too...
