Hi all, im doop. looking to get out with a group or peoples. im in the northern suburbs.. a slightly older bloke. i have done mini tenth a few times including a rave once.. (very kewl) ive done the old mines at warrandyte (no longer accessable as far as i know) . last old mine i did was the glow worm tunnel. managed to do a small bunker i came accross through work the other day.. i have a bunch of old locations from a bit of research im yet to do.
Welcome! Glad to have someone who's not here demanding spots.
Mini 10th is awesome fun, and we're lucky to have so many old bunkers still standing, there's a whole heap of old forts around Point Nepean national park that are worth looking at, there's even one on an island - South Channel Fort.
i will have to have a look. i am into photography. loving some of the pics on flickr.. light painting etc. i couldnt pic the recent bunker as i was already using the phone as a flashlight will have to check if the camera works with the flashlight on .. south channel fort looks awesome.. ive done the shipwreak near black rock a few times.. snorkels out. best done in CALM waters with something that floats to hang on to. saw a few sea horses there.
Nice! It's HMAS Cerberus out at Black Rock, there's another one, a paddle steamer near Port Arlington.
Love the shots, is it a mine or a tunnel? Most mines I've been in are so toxic nothing lives in them.
along with a snazzy new avatar i got a couple of snaps of the bunker... https://flic.kr/p/FayTn9 nothing exceptional.. but we can work on that? pls add me to flickr/ IG guys.. and pls pm so i can give my details if anyones heading out and will put up with me. cheers
that bunch was from blue mountains visit. That landscape was my fav lookout there called pulpit rock.. the cave shot was janolan caves i think.. tour guide type deal.. you actually drive through a big cave to get the carpark. and the worm tunnel is a DICEY drive then 20min? walk i think go at own leisure. awesome place up there.
