Anyway depending on your age Cave Clan is the major urban exploration group in Australia. They're 18+ only though. Apart from that there are probably small groups here and there. I like to think that everyone here on UEGA is a group of sorts (I mean it is Urban Exploration GROUP Australia), though really it's more like a family
I meet most of the people I explore with either through here or instagram.There's a couple of ways to start so to say. I know I started by doing some research online, found a location and went and explored it. This was before I even signed up to UEGA, before I really understood what urbex was. After my first explore I was like "hey that was awesome, I want more!" so I searched around some more and found this site and well here I still am over 1 year later.
The more you explore, the more people you meet and connections you make and the easier and more fun it becomes. I know some people have a different view on this but I've come to realise that urbex is really a 50% social affair and a 50% exploring affair. Some people like to cut the social part and just go full explore mode but I rather enjoy feeling like I'm a part of something different and having never been particularly popular before I now find myself with a number of people who are always down to explore with me. That's a nice feeling.
