New Member and New youtuber

Hey UEGA members, I go by the screen name Digital Ex. Me and my mates love exploring Abandonment's while taking the best pictures we can. I have also recently opened a YouTube channel, my aims with it is to film Abandoned places and possibly turn it into a community channel. So thats me I guess, glad to be here

Edit: Im an Idiot, I know what you mean now. I wont drop locations other than the ones that are completely ruined or very popular. I can understand why people are upset with my video showing the location and I wont be naming locations in future videos.

Do not be discouraged Digital Ex - that video is great. Lets be real; "location drops" for trashed out, dirty, graffed up POS places that every single explorer (and non-explorer) in Sydney already knows about is hardly worth getting ruffled feathers over.

In saying that it simply ideal to just not disclose specific locations. Whilst you know you're doing your part on not saying where something is, Billy Booblips might see that post and ask Jizzy Jessica if her friend Slutty Stacey knows where that place is, but Slutty Stacey doesn't although knows her friend Vera Vagfingers lives in the area - Vera Vagfingers knows all and sees all and BAM that entire chain of people know - one of them may be a bong toteing arsonist...

If you want me to further extend the potential baddies that could happen here, then that bong toteing arsonist could set the place on fire - authorities see your video online and think "well, evidence is better than none" and come knocking at your door asking why you were unlawfully inside the building of a now burnt down property ... it does happen. Not much, but it does. I had an IGA on my account - got chatting with the security guard and he said "cool photos, but the owners are really set on prosecuting the people who broke into it - so you might want to take those photos down because evidence is better than no evidence" - unlikely, but a possibility.

I've never found the way I post my photos screw up locations - I'm in fact very against the idea of "posting photos ruin locations" because it is not posting photos, but the A) amount of traffic and B) the type of person who goes there. The only reason I hold off on posting photos of places that are still standing is for the reasons mentioned above even though looking at my page you wouldn't think that... majority of the public stuff is all renovated/demolished now anyways... kind of... err

Some Youtuber actually posted a specific location identity of a middle-of-nowhere location on a very public page recently - this place was A VERY SPECIAL find between my friends and I - whilst he didn't realise what he was doing, it was a house full of antiques and collectibles - all over the internet for any old looter to see.

No one ever told me this when I first started exploring, so when I posted photos of stuff people were the RUDEST CUNTS to me and I have not forgotten all of that either and yet still, no one bothered telling me just why posting sensitive locations was a bad idea... they'd just be an asswipe about it. Well, here is some advice for you.

The abandoned quarry is very vandalized and many people know about it. When we went there we found people inside, as well as many bmx riders outside. If we ever film at a location that isnt damaged and well known we will never give away the location.

Thanks for the advice mate, I can understand why people get mad. As said above if a place isn't popular and many people don't know about it I will not disclose the location. I can take the rude remarks because this is something I like doing. Your made up names made my day lol.

I'm of the opinion that even if it's a really trashed place, still shouldn't reveal locations, but meh.

Yeah probably wont reveal locations at all in the future. Rather not have everyone mad af.
