Not spot mooching, or asking for locations, let me get that clear... :)
Honestly though, I've never heard of or seen photos of any worthwhile Gold Coast drains.
Been in a few RCP around there, but have never even seen a photo of a GC drain that looks remotely interesting
Anyone got any photos they would like to share?
Thanks, Kais.

we found a fairly good one, not sure if we ever published pics of it, I'll have a look.. It was extremely slippery , I slipped over and cracked my head... and was full of razor sharp oysters, I wouldnt recommend it... It was also fully tidal . Lots of fish in there tho

There are a few on the GC I have checked out, but not been back to photograph yet! One was quite long and split into 2 with rooms, one had a golf tee and hole in it! and the other a kids scooter left behind!! the room had a wall about 1m high seperating sq drain and RCP looked very photogenic !
You post has reminded me to go back and get shots from that one! there are others I have spotted too, early adventures into them revealed eels and some rooms/cages. There are a few on the goldy, it just takes a lot of scouring google maps and now that I don't travel there for work weekly it's a bit of a jaunt unless I plan a big weekend trip down there.

Good luck and yes not many pic's from the Goldie drains around ! yet!!!!!!!

I remember visiting a drain leading from a canal next some sports fields. Drove down with a friend after reading about it on some website and thinking it might be fun to go into a drain. Apparently it would have come out near some shops, but we chose the slightly smaller side-pipe which we thought would be more exiting.. It turned out to be a shrinker so we gave up and went home. First drain since I was in school.

The canal's relatively wide. Runs north-south. I think we visited the other end a few years later when I was more into exploring. One pipe led into a caged room looking onto an oval or something.

That's the one I'm thinking/talking about Aydun, just didn't want to reveal too much! quite viewable from the shops and yes it had a raised section with grille close to one end, the room with short dividing wall is way closer to the canal end. Very wiewable by passing traffic as you enter the drain as you face oncoming traffic!!
