I would recommend a decent torch (2off), a gas detector and a face mask, going from what you described above! Please take care if venture there again!gandhi wrote:hello so recently i went to Clarendon. to explore the old led, sliver and copper mine that closed down 90 years ago. i couldnt take a picture of the inside because i didnt have a good torch any way it goes for a couple of km till you hit the end or so you say. the end is actually a wall blocking to go in even deeper. its hard to get past but im gonna keep trying they say some where on the hill around it is a secrete man hole hidden away where you can access. along the way inside the tunnel is old rusted metals some pots and pans. and at the way the classic satanic symbol a really cool cave. besides the asbestos on the walls.

Any particulate style if Asbestos around, others may have a known brand to recommend.gandhi wrote:do you recommend any good face mask
the cave is actually much longer at the end of a cave is a wall it was blocked off it goes for a while i never seen it but apparently its one of the biggest mines in adelaidetommo wrote:I re read the post sorry i know the one youre talking about, its about 450m long and i wrote the danger asbestos sign on the "door"
tommo wrote:Ok we went back to clarendon yesterday. The mine is around 450m long a constant level with a few deviations but pretty strait, the end is rock! There is no wall or any other meand of access. The walls covered/contain in a mix of blue asbestos, white asbestos, lead oxide. Wear atleast a pair of overalls (disposable) and a p2 respirator. It was a lead mine so no licking of fingers lol![]()
