hello so recently i went to Clarendon. to explore the old led, sliver and copper mine that closed down 90 years ago. i couldnt take a picture of the inside because i didnt have a good torch any way it goes for a couple of km till you hit the end or so you say. the end is actually a wall blocking to go in even deeper. its hard to get past but im gonna keep trying they say some where on the hill around it is a secrete man hole hidden away where you can access. along the way inside the tunnel is old rusted metals some pots and pans. and at the way the classic satanic symbol a really cool cave. besides the asbestos on the walls.

I would recommend a decent torch (2off), a gas detector and a face mask, going from what you described above! Please take care if venture there again!

Any particulate style if Asbestos around, others may have a known brand to recommend.

You probably want at least a P2 (or above) respirator. Ones that are certified (ANSI/ISEA) cost a bit more but perhaps worth it for peace of mind if you're going into an asbestos mine.

Would also recommend showering as soon afterwards as you can and perhaps wear clothes you don't mind discarding.

Ok we went back to clarendon yesterday. The mine is around 450m long a constant level with a few deviations but pretty strait, the end is rock! There is no wall or any other meand of access. The walls covered/contain in a mix of blue asbestos, white asbestos, lead oxide. Wear atleast a pair of overalls (disposable) and a p2 respirator. It was a lead mine so no licking of fingers lol
dont believe all old stories

I have been to Clarendon a few times and have been unable to find these? Any hints as to where I can look to find these in my own further exploration
