i have been to a fair share of urbex locations, mines, caves in sa but last night went to a very untouched one.. no foot prints and no graffiti, a well known location with full time security but its abandoned its huge and delapidated im thinking it will become adelaides best soon..
ill just call it "big salty" for now and who may know it
whats everyone's fav location??
I'm intrigued, I love big and delapidated. Wish there were more industrial locations that have been abandoned. I love that s***. I'm yet to find a real fave location.

Not too far out into the hills in a small town there is a quarry with all the machinery still there, all the office buildings and such but looks like nothings moved in a long time.
Havent had a chance to get into for a proper look, I have to find the town again.

In regards to my previous post I'm talking absolute horse arse no one seems to know that place I found last year, which is exactly how I like to keep it.
I'd be interested to know what this Big Salty is all about though. I *have* been tempted to visit the City of Corpses as of late.
haha yeah i dont understand the idea of "peoples finds" i mean this sire has been there 90 odd years lol and not really abandoned, bit like drains its not like they are lost and forgotten, its mostly all accounted for. even when we abseil into old mines closed for 100+ years isnt exactly a find although it feels muc b more like one
Hi All. I live in Victoria but come to SA a couple times a year. Is there any abandonded sites South East of Adelaide with relatively easy access? I'm not a full on urban explorer but old structures and machinery interest me a lot. A lot of places I read about don't have the location disclosed and I am more than willing to abide by these terms if someone would be willing to divulge some info. Thanks
Mt Gambier had some fun stuff, not sure if the hospital is still there:
Very zombocalypsey.
No one is likeley to give you co-ordinates, but Google is your friend.
This is also near the border too,
Cheers. I know the location of the trains and have had a cursory look. Looking forward to going back for a more thorough look. I can understand why people want to keep the locations of awesome places secret but it would be noce to have a lead or two. Cheers again.
