Thank you for the kind response unlike some others. I have already been in quite a few live train tunnels aswell. But thanks for the tip about Sensors really appreciate it.MacDaddy wrote:UEGA This is ,INSTAGRAM this is not (yoda voice)
Try be abit more nice guys if i didn't have a great response from some fellow uegans when i first started out i probably wouldn't be on here now.
As For portals mhmm its a touchy subject most are locked some aren't depends who you know or what you know
Just to get this out there (randomly)
there are no sensors don't let anyone tell you there are sensors in Sydney THERE ARE NO SENSORS
take that from someone whose done almost all of city tunnels
instagramers think they own places and the most common way to put you off is to tell you that there are sensors
And please i would not advise you go into live train tunnels (although i contradict myself in saying so) they are dangerous and there could be a train at anytime if so please do take great care and most importantly be SAFE

Cameras are a form of sensor, especially when linked to software that differentiates between humans and other shapes, and there are plenty of them.MacDaddy wrote:UEGA This is ,INSTAGRAM this is not (yoda voice)

There are many various techniques to bypass these systems. One of these techniques include http://www.partypackage.co.uk/costume-b ... 0022-p.asp these can trick the system and allow access into any tunnelblakjak wrote:Cameras are a form of sensor, especially when linked to software that differentiates between humans and other shapes, and there are plenty of them.MacDaddy wrote:UEGA This is ,INSTAGRAM this is not (yoda voice)

If you run past extremely quick enough they dont catch you they apparently have them at circ quay to wynyard i do know they have them at SHB someone was abit silly and actually set it off by accident which in turn got the place locked down tighter then a nuns A$$blakjak wrote:They don't use thermal cameras, they use digital smart cams that also detect IR.
And prey tell, how would you bypass a thermal camera? They use them on the SHB
Yeahp Ive done it through martin place to town hallaussiemacka wrote:So I theoretically could run through Central underground without setting off any alarms apart from being seen by cameras?
Do they constantly monitor the cameras or is it like switched through Every few minutes or so?blakjak wrote:lol you're funny...you didn't beat anything no mater how fast you ran, there are no thermal sensors or any other sensors in the Sydney tunnels, only cameras. We've walked the whole system.
Anyway, if you went there, you may have beat their response time, but you where still captured on (digital) 'media'.
I can show you footage of myself and associates captured by the security cameras, I have the .mp4 file here. Just because you didn't get caught, it doesn't mean they didn't 'see' you.
*shakes head*
Any video based security system worth getting has flagging capabilities which would identify things that dont belong in the frame, nobody sits and watches monitors anymore unless the area gets regular foot traffic.MacDaddy wrote:Do they constantly monitor the cameras or is it like switched through Every few minutes or so?blakjak wrote:lol you're funny...you didn't beat anything no mater how fast you ran, there are no thermal sensors or any other sensors in the Sydney tunnels, only cameras. Why do we have uega when we have blakjak Cheers Againblakjak wrote:Basically, what Crispex said. They use software with smartcams that have certain parameters programmed in, it ignores rats, mice, trains, dust and trash being blown around, but it alerts when it detects anything that looks like a human, or a bomb, etc. There's basically one guy who sits in front of a computer watching porn and chatting up chix on IRC who gets alerted if something unusual happens. Bells and buzzers would go off, the monitor would focus on the camera that has made a detection, a red box gets placed around the suspect item, and then the operator could take control of that camera to pan up and down left and right, and to zoom in and out. If what he sees is not threatening, he'll go back to watching porn and chatting up teen whores, but if he sees a shifty urban explorer trying to sneak into St James, he'll make calls and all sorts of fecal matter will hit that ancient air-con unit on the ceiling.
They use the same technology at at train stations and airports to detect bags left unattended and other weird sh1t.
I don't know why I'm saying all this, they have been using it for over 10 years now.
