It sure made coughing, farting, and punching cones quite painful, but it was worth it.
If I was 2 inches to the right I would have collected my head and probably died but unfortunately for you guys I made it.Modular wrote:Far out dude, that's brutal.
Wow good thing you weren't alone I'm assuming. That looks nasty.blakjak wrote:Broke 3 ribs when I had a slight tumble at Eye Of the Needle entry embankment in March last year...

that makes the cut on my finger look like a scratch compared to that...blakjak wrote:If I was 2 inches to the right I would have collected my head and probably died but unfortunately for you guys I made it.Modular wrote:Far out dude, that's brutal.
Nah there were about 10 ppl present but as I was the first one to descend the guy following me had to come down in a hurry to assist me. And even though I was ok for the 1st few mins and wanted to keep going with the explore (it was my expo), when the adrenalin wore off a few mins later I could barely breath so one of the guys there kindly offered to take me to hospital and I grudgingly accepted. I passed over expo guide duties to somebody else and insisted that rest continued on with the expo (which they did). I think I won an award for it.Echo wrote:Wow good thing you weren't alone I'm assuming. That looks nasty.
I've had the odd cut, 2 broken bones (knee and foot - cripple for 2 months), and a few stitches on the melon, all due to urbex, but those ribs were certainly the most painful. And even though I still do dodgy stuff, I always use safety equipment (harness, ropes, etc).Modular wrote:that makes the cut on my finger look like a scratch compared to that...
and as they say, the lord works in many mysterious ways.
thankfully you were not killed
lol CLANG!!! I've copped a similar thing and have seen it happen to someone else as well. I think watching hurt more than copping it.Midget wrote:I've only had one involving a steel hatch, and now I'm super careful (pussy). Every time I remember that, my head hurts. Lol.
I've still got spikes in my jeans from the Dunlop factory.Rantallion wrote:I walk into spiky plants lots and lots.
