Echo, you signed up to UEGA last month, you've asked for locations multiple times yourself, if it weren't for the handful of explores you've posted, keeping in mind you've also been pulled up for dropping location names in them and etc, you and this person wouldn't be all that different. All things considered you're not really in a position to be calling others noobs/newbs.
I understand that ideally, people should be familiarising themselves with the rules and etcetera of the site, and that it is frustrating when they don't, but maybe try educating and encouraging others, instead of presenting new users with posts like this that have nothing constructive to contribute. It's not benefitting you, or anyone else on these forums. It's uninviting and petulant.
Just calm your farm, dude.

Madspots, I can't say I know of any spots in Wollongong, but maybe try some of the better known places around Sydney if you can?
You'll be able to find out about a bunch of them pretty easily via a few Google searches and then piece together locations from there.

Those are the sorts of places that might be a good starting place for you if you're looking for something that's easily accessible. Also, if your friend is interested in photographing graffiti, the more frequently visited a place is, the more likely it is to have been sprayed, so that's something that might work in your favour?

Remember to take into account things like the dates of the posts you find online, as it's obviously not uncommon for sites to be levelled. If you go to explore a place thinking it still exists only to get there and find that it doesn't, you're gonna have a bad time.

You can find out about locations in multiple ways. I've found out about places simply while making small talk with strangers, or from seeing newspaper articles. Sometimes you just stumble across them while you're out. It's not encouraged to outright ask about locations, so try not to expect people to simply hand you details, as it isn't likely to happen.
Plus, it's more exciting when you do a little bit of legwork yourself, trust me ;)

Like you can talk, Rantallion, you've only been here for like.... oh wait, never mind.

Welcome to the forum, madspots. Good thing is that Wollongong is really close to Sydney anyways, could probably come up here once a weekend and explore.

Echo, you could make a lot of money as an English teacher in Sydney with all the international students. :P

Google "Hill 60", have a look around Fairy Meadow. There are a few places down there, use Google.

Best way to get locations is to meet other explorers. Try and meet with other explorers via the sydney meetup. Sometimes there might be the odd chance a forum member needs a companion and hooking up is encouraged. They may also know some places that you don't know about.

And google is your friend ;)
Just a harmless explorer. No need to waste taxes checking me ;)
