NSW powerstation security

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone can shed some light on something.

Yesterday I went to check out some powerstations near n.., there is 2, not mentioning names but 1 is old and 1 is recent.

I checked out the recent one first and went in the back way, had no problems what so ever getting in but found some cameras with my 300mm lens but then realized I had walked past it as I wondered through the field.
I continued to check out an old conveyor house and wondered a bit more but kept to the outskirts of the site. I was there for a few hours all up and no one came to see me even though I would have been seen on the camera.

later I went to check out the older station once again had no probs getting in the outer fence and walked a while and crossed a creek, I was really close but before I went to jump in I noticed a pir in a wire box and I was probably in view, I walked around the back of the building following the fence and found a really easy entry point. but as I went to enter I noticed a ir camera looking me in the face - once again I was there for ages no security came no one was waiting for me at the entry point.
are these cameras and pirs active? I really want these shots

Judging by the security at White Bay, I'd say they take their security pretty seriously. theedge would know for sure though.

Keep your keys in the ignition and your 4WD minus number plates behind some bushes.

We've been there a few times. Got inside once easily, in there for hours, got too comfortable and security saw us, took us hours playing cat and mouse to escape. The next time, we investigated the same conveyer house, set off a motion camera and got caught by security - who was really good, and gave us some useful info that i'm happy to share.

They used to monitor the cameras (and record the footage), not too sure now.

Is there a dog still 'patrolling' the grounds, if it's the same dog it'll be very old now.

These shots are from a different one. There is definitely no dog here.

Active power stations have security who are there mainly to deter protestors. When we got caught loitering at a PS down south a few years ago we got escorted out. Going by the looks of our scruffy urbex gear they thought we were from Greenpeace or something. They were puzzled and suspicious when we told them we just want to take pix of the buildings. Gave us a card and told us to ring to organise an official tour. But when we called they gave us the OH&S run around telling us insurance would never allow it etc.

Thats what i fear they will do if i want to plan a tour.
There is a certain power station that was shut down last year out west and i was going to email the Energy company that owns it to see if they are willing to organize a tour for a small group.
