Obviously it was a serious enough breach to warrant a permanent ban.
Apart from that, only UEGA mods/admin (and the banned member) are made aware of the particulars of such a decision.
I asked Nuggs for the IP address of a guy that I was having problems with.
He wanted to join the Clan but was a total nut.
He said he was going to join UEGA.
Keep in mind this guy had found a photo of my daughter on the Net (aged three at the time) and was telling me how he was going to f@*k her (more detail but I won't repeat it) & sneak into my house and do stuff to my wife which would end up with her breasts cut off.
There was a stack of stuff about what he was going to do to me too.
I took him for what he was. An internet troll with too much time on his hands, BUT I thought I'd take some precautions just in case he showed any signs of actually knowing anything about me that took it to the next level (my address or if he did something like took photos of me walking down the street... unlikely, but yeah).
I explained this to Nuggs. Keep in mind that Nuggs has an ego issue and behind the scenes he was puffing up his chest and stupid crap I can't even remember. He gave this high & mighty reply about how I should go to the police and that he respects his member's privacy.
I'm sure Nuggs has the exact response, but I said to him, "If Benny takes this any further I won't forget your lack of help".
So he banned me indefinitely.
The guy is a total toss pot
And certainly - I respect the privacy of all of our members, and would only give this information (IP address etc.) to the authorities if requested by them. The PhpBB ToS forbids me from giving out such info as well, and no reputable forum admin would do so.
Doug also wanted to set up a fake account on here to stalk this guy. Who is stalking who?
I forgot.
Now he logs in with fake accounts such as Dungoy so he can continue this saga and troll the forum.
He also loves name-calling ('toss pot' is one of the nicer names he's called me) and I copped a lot of abuse.
And yes, he even accused me of colluding with this 'Benny'.
So get pissy when I don't help you stalk and invade the privacy of our members.
I BCC'd Titan in all my conversations with Doug through this.
Titan was similarly appalled by Doug's behaviour, and backed my decision to ban him.
