Yeah. When I was that age I was exploring drains in Mellbourne (the first one I explored was Anzac) and had no concept of the dangers of drains and rains combining to cause flash floods. It was pure luck that I didn't get injured or worse. This is why I am a strong advocate of experienced drainers passing along safety information to the inexperienced, which thankfully seems to be a very wide spread practice.
