Dates for next Sydney/NSW Expo - Southern Zone - 11th Oct

Just remembered, need to get dates for the next expo.

My preference will be to do Hill 60 again and a few other places around there.

Again it will be a legal one so mainly drains and bunkers.

PLUS:
Up-to-date intel on current and upcoming places in NSW may also be shared at discretion of myself and other VIP members attending. Intel is no longer shared on the forum at least for anything in NSW, so for those that need intel, attending the expo is recommended!

Preferred period for myself will be end of September- mid Oct on a weekend.

Although I won't know for sure until closer to the date, any weekend around then should work for me!
There seem to be quite a few interesting places down that way.

Definitely. Pretty flexible with doing a combined expo. I only mentioned Hill 60 because it was one UEGA expo I missed and Toxic seemed keen on it when we were out exploring back in May. So just trying to at least honour that request.

EDIT: it's still a while. Am thinking Oct might be best, got to check my work calendar as there's some pre-work I need to do for an upcoming event in Sept.

My only busy weekend is August 16-17 as i am road tripping with 30 or so classic cars.

I can't say for certain since it's quite far ahead, but I should be free most weekends and would like to come - looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing cool spots!

Could everyone just put some October dates for this and we can work from there? Whether or not this becomes a joint Uega/CaveClan thing?

I don't want to put in a date I am happy with and then find out no one can attend.

Which means no one ends up meeting each other, no one gets intel and no one has a chance of advancing their member status should they request it. So a lose-lose IMHO.

I don't mean to sound harsh, but that's the way it is.

As usual, I'm open to giving people lifts as well, whether from the city, corner street, or the nearest railway station.

I'm lucky to plan my social life more than a couple of days in advance, so any time in October may be good for me

I think Saturday the 4th of October would be perfect.

Also, I should have my mode of transport repaired by then!

Provided we get a date soon it's ok. I'd like to know two months before October or the agreed date.

That will give me enough time to block out some leave at work and swapping shifts with work colleagues.

We can extend to November if we can't find a date in October. December is definitely out.

I free the 25th of oct but if need be can get time off given enough notice for any other time im easy

Can't do that date. Also can't do 4th due to work reasons.

On second thoughts I'm finding Oct/Nov to be difficult too

Any volunteers want to take point? Secret gift if you do

Another note that we should work around any rail work that takes place so that it is easy for people who need to catch trains (have checked the maintenance calendar already but it only goes out to September). Of course my trusty corolla can do pickups (despite the slightly shonky suspension) but there's a limit on how much driving I can do. Which reminds me car service is coming up.

Sorry for not being around lately chaps, I bought 3 project cars in one go and its constantly kept me busy.

No worries. I too wasn't sure I could get this one due to work but now I think I can. I blocked the surrounding Friday and Monday so everyone at work gets the message I am away

That's fine. Will give everyone time to get to the meeting point and for me to do pickups if necessary. I will also try and do door to door pickups now my car has been given a clean bill of health and pub transport is so bad.

Hopefully can make it to the hill60 bunker down south and an abandoned rail tunnel.

If we get the chance we may stop for a couple of of abandonments including one that was not posted before... But that depends on time as well.

Ah okay. I've been to both of those places in the last year. I wasn't with urbex-inclined friends though at Hill 60 so dwe didn't spend too much time there. Like aydun I would also be keen on checking out some drains down the south coast.
