just wondering if anyone has much knowledge about the connection between air vents and railway tunnels?
In particularly Sydney.

I've become curious after finding what I believe are air vents today.

Thanks.

Seen something circular in a certain park? I haven't been inside, but I don't think it's very spectacular or extensive in the least. There are two of them, both identical.

Saying that, I'd still be interested to have a look inside if the opportunity arose.

yeah they're the ones.. Kinda interesting, I haven't seen any vents like this anywhere else on the network. due to their location I thought they may lead down to greater things but maybe not.

I'm definitely curious now haha & there's only one way to find out

A while back, it's basically just a open circle that looks down onto a section of track. With the overhead in the middle

These rail grilles are old spots used only for painting by 90s writers... There are several scattered accross the park and they are all still accessible. I wouldn't at the moment though, I popped one the other day and was greeted by 6 police cars when I exited. Fun stuff.

Are the big square bricks structures on Redfern Railway station some sort of air vent ? They are on the station to the left as you head into the city.

In that place where the two air vents are placed lead to the Domain car tunnel and there is the exact same air vent in a certain car park but 2x the size and leads to a train tunnel in Sydney which I am not going to name.
