Demolition crews working on Good Friday

Just went scouting this morning on some places and found that some demolition crews were still active today at 7:30am!!!

I'd hate to be a demolition worker not being able to take a religious public holiday off.

So looks like Easter is still work day for demolition and construction crews. Is this normally the case here or anywhere else in the world besides Middle East, India and China?

If only the shopping centres were working today as I need new glasses and shoes :(

Yeah normal enough on the big jobs. Bit hard to say no when they offer you triple time ;)

There were diggers out this morning in Perth smashing down an inner city abando, i'm thinking it was more to do with traffic management considering it's got (had) a tall street frontage...

I'v seen demo guys doing sundays at times on some of the bigger sites around the place, kinda annoying when you're trying to get a look inside :(

It's fairly common in Perth for a building to just disappear into rubble over the space of a weekend....

Thanks for the info. I think that clears up a few things.

They are obviously on a tight deadline.
