Hi there,

Just joined as I have an interest in Bunkers (used to follow the now defunct Bunkerboyz page years ago) Not to mention abandoned factories and machinery.

Never done rooftops - although they look interesting - although I've never entered places that are actively patrolled. As for Drains - currently a big old Nope for me.

I'm a photographer and I used to take a lot of pictures around the Middle Head Bunkers...

And used to love the Chowder Bay bunkers with their riveted and vaulted metal ceilings, tram way and tunnels - although the entry points seem to have been recently reinforced - (cross bars welded to the lateral bars on the doors (very recent as the flux is still on the joints) and DANGER IMAGINARY ASBESTOS signage all seems new to me) - so I'm wondering if there's a quiet way of getting back in. I was originally using the gap between the lateral bars in the door from a previous but fairly obvious pry-job that was there when I first visited.

In any case - I'd love to meet more people with the same interests. If you're interested in seeing my previous photos just hit me up on the PM

Cheers,

G

Also based round the North Sydney Area. So hit me up if you need a buddy with a camera rig.

Thanks! Would love to meet up with the Sydney group at some point - I have nothing to really share other than photography and lighting tips though!

Not too many war stories - TBH I basically just lurk around areas that I can find accessible - I've never really broken into anywhere or trespassed anywhere with an active security detail.

When we were kids living out in the west with nothing better to do we broke in and climbed the radio /repeater tower adjoining a substation - this was pre 9-11 days when nobody gave a rats if there were holes in the cyclone fencing. Nowadays I think any trip up the same tower would have most of Pennant Hills local area command breathing down your neck.

I don't have photos with me at work - but here's one of the more planned shots

(dragged a model, some lights and such through the bars when said bunkers were still relatively accessible)

I like the history and used to read up on the coastal defences around the eastern seaboard. Was totally obsessed with big arty and cannons for a while.

But then again I that was probably before I knew about girls. ;)

Hahaha, well you've got a bigger pair than me.

I'm usually lugging photo equipment and such. Plus I'm not exactly lily-white - so I figure if the fuzz spots some shady character with a bunch of gear trespassing I'll probably cop it sweeter - so to speak.

War on terra and all that.
