This is an old skeleton of a building which burnt down in 2005.

Not too much too see here, but I love all abandonments ;)

Located on main road in Ashfield

That place has been there for ages. Wonder if and when it will go...

Every explorer and his dog thrashed that place in the months after it burnt down...then the graffers and copper-strippers discovered it and it was then that all the remaining fittings and merchandise were removed and the rest of the building was demolished.
It is weird though that it has sat there for 8 years undeveloped, maybe like at Dunlop/Slazenger they found asbestos?

The owners are fighting an insurance claim denial I believe. Hence no redev.
Always carry a tripod. They're useful for smacking down junkies & scrappers.

Naah that photo is taken from the upper storey. The stairs just lead down to the ground floor
