Wondering what you guys use to illuminate drains / tunnels when taking photo's?

Flash just doesn't cut it. I've seen some urbexers use what must be some form of battery powered oyster light that can be stuck to walls / ceilings.

What's recommended?
Drains are okay. [insta: awesomeadelaide]

Light painting is generally done with a long exposure and a torch/flashlight. There are heaps of other ways to do it (i.e. candles, glowsticks) but a torch is most common and also the easiest.

The only intro to lightpainting you need.

Torch, tripod and long exposures.

Then start playing around with glowsticks, sparklers, steel wool, cathodes etc etc

And if you aren't afraid of fire, wollspining...
60cm of rope tied to the end of a small wire whisk. Insert a ball of fine steel wool. Ignite. Spin. Enjoy.
(note it smells and might ignite dry leaves or your hair.)
Note: make sure it doesn't fly out, can cause dramas
