Adelaide Youth Prison

Due to be demolished soon I thought I'd share a few pics of the abandoned youth prison in Adelaide.

Being a prison the whole place is like a rabbit warren and you can easily get boxed in. There is also reports of the SA Police SWAT Team using this site for training using real explosives. Be careful!!!

Oh yes, the old youth prison. Was well worth the trip out there, one of the best places I've been to yet.

Great photos, almost feels like I'm back there!!!

I'm 90% sure that is damage caused by an explosive device, hence the burn marks/imploded door.

It's definitely a cool place to visit drewbee!

Haven't been contacted by anyone from the Adelaide Cave Clan yet Scarecrow... guess they're busy?

Wildstar - just wow. Love the angles and the places you took your shots from.

This seriously has to be the best place in Adelaide for urbex that I've ever seen.

Not yet been there. Now I'm curious...

Never done drains before so I'm a little cautious at the same time.

As far as drains as concerned, Eli's isn't really your average run-of-the-mill tunnel. It has a set of remotely-controlled doors which can open at any time to release water from a dam. This makes it quite dangerous, especially when the water levels are as high as they currently are.

Hmmmm. Maybe wait that one out then....I'll stick to buildings and factories and such where it's (a little) safer.
