Hi, I'm Aurora and I'm from Sydney. I've only explored some of the more obvious sites so far (Dunlop Factory/Toothbrush Factory/Tram sheds...) but I'm definitely keen to do more ;)

Welcome! Judging by that pic I'd say you're about 15 years too late to find that location :)
There appears to be light filtering in from several angles (Which would suggest it's topside) And it has graff up to the eyeballs.
Such places usually don't remain secret for too long so I'd say it's long gone.
But I could be totally wrong and someone just had a very cheap camera on the day!
Some of our more seasoned members may have some insight though, I'm sure someone else has been there at some point.
Thoughts Doug??

I might know where that place is, if not, some place very similar. I'll have to dig around in my photos & upload them and you can let me know if that's the same place.

No, I would not be surprised, but you may have picked up for my disdain of the general populous...

The place is about an hour out of Melbourne, at the back of a small servo, built in the ruins of an abandoned caravan park, I remember being quite impressed at how well built it was when I stumbled upon it...

I've got more photos, but I'm in a fast food joint in Paris at the moment (humblebrag), place has a few more rooms if I recall correctly, but it's been a while,

Welcome.
You sure the first two pics are the same place as the other one? Ceiling looks different.
Either way, the first two pix look like a former reservoir turned into a skate park that closed down & got trashed. Some of the quarter pipe sides look purposely made for skateboarding.
The interior of the (former) Paddington reservoir looked a lot like that before it was restored.

Yeah I first explored it when it was an abandoned Caltex servo. The twin reservoirs were both fully enclosed, but part of the rood was caving in. The air-raid shelter in the former inlet pipe was also accesible then.
Now it's a yuppified park & the shelter is locked away.

It's not too difficult to climb inside though. You can still see some sections of tunnels that ran off from parts of the old reservoir.

I had no idea any of that was there, definitely gonna have a poke around. What kind of difficulty would you say getting in has? (like novice/casual/pro)

Also down further on Oxford there are some very tempting Telstra tunnels but it's close to a high security location, anyone know about the viability of them/if they lead anywhere?

EDIT: also, welcome UEGA

It's a fairly easy climb over the fence to get inside. What's your climbing ability like?

Although the Telstra tunnels are tempting, you would do yourself a favour to stay away, as F1ex has mentioned. Since they were vandalised by a disgruntled employee in the 90's which disrupted the city's communication for days they have all been stepped up in security to a very high level.

Dayum, I've always been intensely interested in the tunnels. Maybe I should intern at Telstra? Haha.

Cheers for the heads up, it's a shame though because I'm pretty sure there's a good tunnel running a solid length of Oxford St, I peeked into the access room when it was open a while ago, but directly opposite is a 24/7 manned checkpoint anyway so I don't think it would be too smart to try in the first place haha
