Last time I was at Swoo there was an old couple who walked past who gave us really weird looks but didn't otherwise seem to care too much!
Swoo manhole? Don't you guys just go back out the way you came in?

The slides should be a lot easier on your next visit.

Swoo is in an area full of normals. Any drain explorers are going to stick out like a sore thumb.

Usually we would, although we had a dog with us, so climbing back up the slides became a lot more difficult, and plus I was pushing time considering I had a flight to catch, which is why we decided to use the manhole exit :)

I've done it a couple times, usually around an hour. I want to try it without my bag and see how long it takes me to run it seriously. Next Monday...

Past couple of times and today, I just do it on buses because I'm lazy.

I read an article not too long ago about a man who just walked onto the tarmac through a gap in the fence unintentionally and walked into the airport without anyone noticing. Just gotta act like you belong there ;)

How long has this banner been in place? Long enough to warrant a change, perhaps?

Can anyone recommend a mobile carrier that is relatively reliable and cheap? Currently with Optus and the coverage is absolutely shocking... I have spent the last 15
minutes trying to send a text, and am posting this using free wifi. Oh, did I mention I'm in the CBD? :/

Want coverage? Go Telstra.
Sure, it costs a little bit more, but it's worth it to be able to use your phone when your friends can't

Buildings are bad for mobile signals, not sure what other cities are like but most carriers in Melbourne have street-level repeaters.

Anyone had any experience with Vodafone? Don't think I'm willing to fork out what Telstra is asking, especially considering I only use my phone casually.

Went out with No+Pro and a few other non-forum guys last night and checked out two drains. One of them seemed to be made of a sort of fibre-glass material with a yellowish tint and was very smooth. At least part of this drain was extremely new (within the last year). Perhaps this will be the material that future drains use?

With with vodafone at the moment, if your experience is bad with Optus - Vodafone leverages off Optus equipment if there is no dedicated Vodafone stuff in the area.
When I drove to Mt Gambier I was supposed to roam free onto Optus but it was extremely bad sustaining a connection - that was a while ago now though.
Vodafone in Victoria has gotten much better, and hadn't had any issues in Sydney when I was there for a festival last year.

My main plus for Vodafone is that data is cheap, and I use a lot of it.
