Yes it is. My main reason for getting it was because all my old Minolta auto focus lenses fitted it. I had a couple
and nothing to use them with. Im happy with it.

Recently replaced my ageing Nikon D60 with a Nikon D3300, as I prefer a small and light DSLR, and didn't want to replace my lenses.

Good: Very impressed with the image quality and resolution, due to the 24MP sensor. I find I'm getting much more detail even with the old 18-55mm VR kit lens and the not particularly sharp Tamron 10-24mm wide angle. Whilst I shoot in RAW for night/URBEX photos, I also find that the daytime .jpegs have much better dynamic range (especially when dealing with cloudy/grey conditions than the D60. High ISO performance is also excellent, with images still useable at ISO3200 and even ISO6400 in some cases.
Bad: Live view does not function as expected with non-Nikon lenses.

Sony alpha 3500 goes alright and Easy to use would recommend
