Hey guys, I registered an account a little while ago but never posted anything in that time.
I'm originally from Melbourne and have done a few different abandos up there but as far as draining goes I've only done the Anzac and a few small local drains. Just moved up to Brisbane and am enjoying it so far, just have been checking out a few small houses and anything nearby.
I've just recently started a photography blog.
I do have a graffiti-ish background which is how i got into exploration, but I can control myself and leave the paint at home.
In the past I've just gone in for the thrill of it all, but have recently started getting into photography a bit more.
I'm still pretty new to taking photos, but heres a link to my blog where I put my photos: diotlan.tumblr.com
At the moment its pretty much a photo blog not strictly urbex but I'm wanting to move it that way.
Anyhow thats me. I hope to go on one of your tours sometime and meet some people doing the same thing.
Welcome mate, and appreciate your honesty re: the graffiti thing.
Would be great to have you along for a tour, keep your eyes on the Qld section of the forum. We had one not long ago, and no plans for another at this stage, but we'll see!
Also, it seems abandonments do not stay up for too long in Brissy, so the underground scene seems to be a richer source of enjoyment here. If you look hard enough though, there are some awesome places. Look forward to seeing what you find!
Yeah, I went to check out a local drain at night just cause I was passing one with some friends on the way home and we had to turn back because there were too many toads. A totally new experience in draining for me.
We didnt even get into the entrance, but I think next time I'll be a bit more prepared.
I'm guessing they're pretty common up here seeing as its dark, damp and cool down in drains
