Making a documentary (that conceals mine and my friends' identities) about my experiences of this and those of others is something I want to do. I would love it to be an ethnography of Melbourne's draining/urbexing communities, recording how groups affect and are affected by various sociocultural constructs (e.g. class/capitalism/meritocracy/authority/power kept from regular people, agency, politics of space and bodies, law/crime, aesthetics).
I love community and sharing special experiences with earnest people. I would love to do some performance/sound art in some Melbourne drains soon. I do outdoor climbing, so rigging myself up in the middle of a drain and playing an experimental ambient set using a made-up instrument would make me very sparkly.
I am new to these scenes because I just moved to Melbourne, but I am keen to get involved.
