ARC Raiders is preparing for a major progression change when the Frozen Trail update arrives on October 8. Embark Studios has confirmed that the existing Raider Deck system will be removed and replaced by a new Reward Pass featuring separate Free and Premium tracks. The change is designed to make progression feel more meaningful for regular players while giving everyone access to a basic set of rewards. For players who carefully manage ARC Raiders Coins and other resources, the new structure introduces another layer to consider when planning seasonal progression. Rather than relying on saved Cred to instantly clear content, players will work through levels by completing Feats and unlocking rewards over time.

Why Raider Decks Are Being Replaced
Embark explained that the previous Raider Deck structure created an unusual problem for dedicated players. Cred could be accumulated between seasons, allowing some players to immediately complete a new deck when it became available. While this was convenient, it also reduced the sense of progression that the developers wanted the system to provide. Players could receive the available rewards almost immediately instead of having reasons to continue completing Feats throughout the season. The Reward Pass is intended to address this issue by connecting rewards more closely to ongoing participation. The goal is not to completely abandon the ideas behind Raider Decks, but to develop them into a system with more structured progression and additional reward options.

Frozen Trail Introduces 60 Levels
The first Reward Pass connected to Frozen Trail will contain 60 levels. Everyone who owns the base game can access the Free Pass, which provides a selection of useful and cosmetic rewards throughout its progression path. Players can earn the new base outfits alongside additional cosmetics, weapons, gadgets, items, and up to 200 Raider Tokens. This means the free progression path remains substantial rather than functioning only as a small preview of the paid system. Completing Feats will remain an important part of advancing through the levels, giving players a clear reason to stay active and work toward the next reward.

Premium Adds Cosmetic Extras
The Premium track is designed as an optional addition rather than a replacement for the free progression path. Players who purchase it gain access to additional outfit customization, including premium toggles, modifications, and colorways connected to the new outfits. The track also includes exclusive legendary weapon stencils, hairstyles, and up to 1,150 Raider Tokens. Embark has set the Premium Pass price at 1,150 Raider Tokens, meaning players who complete the entire track can earn back the currency used to obtain it. This structure gives committed players an opportunity to continue their progression without necessarily requiring another currency purchase for every new pass.

Gameplay Balance Remains Separate
Embark has also emphasized that the Premium track is not intended to provide a gameplay advantage. Functional rewards such as weapons and gadgets remain available through the Free Pass, while Premium focuses on cosmetics, customization options, and additional premium currency. That distinction is important because it keeps the paid progression path separate from core gameplay power. Players who decide not to upgrade can still access meaningful progression and functional equipment. The new system therefore changes how seasonal rewards are organized without moving important gameplay tools exclusively behind a payment requirement.

A New Seasonal Progression Structure
The Reward Pass gives ARC Raiders a more traditional progression framework while retaining several elements from Raider Decks. Players can gradually complete Feats, unlock rewards, and decide whether the additional cosmetic options are worth pursuing. Discussions around ARC Raiders Materials for sale may continue alongside the game's broader resource economy, but the new pass is primarily focused on progression and customization rather than replacing ordinary gameplay systems. When Frozen Trail launches on October 8, the 60-level structure will give players a new way to measure their seasonal progress while keeping the Free Pass available to everyone who owns the game.
