Hey there! I'm Venture and I've been exploring on and off for nearly 14 years now, I prefer drains and bridegrooms to abandos due to their comparative permanence but that doesn't mean I won't check out an abandoned building if I'm nearby, I've explored roughly 20 drains which might seem like a small amount considering how long I've been at it but when I said off and on I really meant it, I would say 15 of those 20 were done within a 2 month period during the summer of 2021 and some of the drains I have gone through a stupid amount of times.
I want to get more into it, I guess that's why I joined here—to immerse myself in the culture more, even if that means just reading old posts from time to time since this place doesn't seem particularly active from what I can see.
I don't particularly like exploring alone, apart from the rare occasion I just want to get away from everything for a few hours. The real enjoyment for me is going to these places with like minded people and just having fun. Recently, some friends who've gone drain walking with me over the years and I decided to start a small group called the Tunnel Toads dedicated to just that. It's nothing serious, as you can probably tell by the name.
I guess my main mission is to get to 100 drains explored before I kick the proverbial bucket or whatever, but knowing me if I ever reach that goal I'd automatically be aiming for 200 the instant it happened Anyways that's me for the most part, glad to be here!
