I had seen a building poking thru the tree line on my way to work everyday and wondered what it was. I went driving around the area to investigate and came to a heap of buildings, some abandoned and some still in use all on the one site. Without hesitation I headed for one of the abandonments to check it out. I had to climb over a fence, onto a ledge, shimmy across to a window and then I was in (entry is much easier and less fun now). The place was pretty run down but still had furniture and clothes from patients that use to live there, which gave it a very spooky feel. Looking around I was amazed at the fact this place was just left like it was. There was all kind of docuents (dated back to the 70s and I would of been to this place maybe 3 years ago). Beds made and clothes in the cupboards. As I walked around I found 2 rooms that had evidence of people living. The first a junkie squat with needles and the like, but the second right next door was spotless! The bed was made, a few groceries packed neatly on the shelf as well as deodorant and even a cheap suit in the cupboard. I decided on having a quick look at the rest of the building and then left. As this was my first exploration mission rather than a graffiti one, this certain place is one i visit often to marvel in the beauty of mother nature reclaiming what was once hers. From then on.. I WAS HOOKED!!
