The "Twin 60s" Tunnel

A few selected pics of the Twin 60s tunnel in southern burbs.

3km's long. Back breaker to start but opens up. Originally a creek that's been covered and built upon.

Surely Adelaide's longest drain!

That drain is known as Edge of Parnell. I was actually there last weekend. Was only in Adelaide for one night though. There are a couple of other drains off the main trunk canal further downstream from that outfall.

Ahh thanks Scarecrow, I did try contacting a few members of the Adelaide Cave Clan to get its name but got no response to my emails. I didn't want to call it "Mitsubishi" so not to give up its location too easily.

My friend Sean found this document and after some deliberation we settled on calling it the "Twin 60s" tunnel:
