The area around Rick's Tomb is hugely different now. I still think Rick's and the surrounding drains are some of Sydney's lesser-known gems.

How can you be 100% sure?

The abandoned wharf was huge and there were some dark corners and I do recall hearing what I thought was a homeless person rambling on about Rabbits or something.

I also recall hearing another bum's voice eerily coming out of the dark saying, "know what I mean? Valvoline".

You probably heard a shitload of wogs talking about souvlaki & spagetti too as that is were half the Greeks & Italians (including my mum) disembarked after their 2 month journey from the old world. :)
