I've tried to find the entrance to this when I was up there. You may need a manhole key

It can be very deep, and its tidal (obviously). I'd be looking for a manhole if I was you.

In saying that, if you really want to enter via the outfall, go for it!

Check tide times, but in normal conditions the outfall is not submerged.
Though at high tide you'd be swimming!

Ah ok thanks guys, it did look quite deep. I got a couple of waders so were planing to go a bit before low tide to be safe.

Smart thinking, with tidal drains i generally go an hour before low tide so i have a couple of hours "safe time". That is unless you like swimming in winter.

erghhh tidal drains suckkk. Most of the immediate Brissy drains are tidal and caused heaps of probs when I went out late at night, smack bang on high tide haha.

I seen your footprints in the mud too! Must of only just missed you as your prints hadent been washed away by the tide yet. Yes aydun wore vans! We walked downstream where the rock turns into concrete again and met tidal water and turned around.

Ah ok cool I didn't know where else to enter so we went in at the outflow, where did you go in at? it wasn't to deep because of the low tide but we still wore our waders to avoid getting wet. We only had two pairs but there were three of us so had to carry him for the first hundred meters or so through the water. Oh yeah and someone had stashed a bag of about 15 half used tealight candles on the roof of the drain know why?

You'll find that the candles are used to add lighting effects to photos. You've probably seen them in drain pics before, especially in the longer exposure shots.
