Aydun broke UEGA. He tried to install cat emoticons.

(seriously) Well from what Aydun told me, it was all host side.

Yep, our host had a 'fault-tolerant' switch fail. We should be properly back now!
A core (supposedly fault-tolerant) switch stack started having trouble passing traffic between stack members today, causing widespread and semi-random issues.

At this time, we believe the issue is resolved, but we are continuing to monitor very careful. We will also, of course, be analyzing the failure of these switches in great detail to determine our best course of action to prevent the problem from reoccurring.

We will leave this issue open for an hour or two while we go over the system with a fine-toothed comb to make sure all is well.

We are very sorry for the trouble!

Cat emoticons to come.

Better than works dual core-switch setup, that isn't able to actually auto failover :D

If you can't see this, it's not because UEGA is broken.

I think Telstra is having problems. I can only currently only access via my VPN :/

They seem to have resolved it (pretty quick!), but this the reason for the downtime this morning from our host:
Locking issues causing timeouts and "Forbidden" errors

Original Description: (51 minutes ago)

A supposedly-minor OS update has had an unexpected interaction leading to some problems with file locking. These are causing timeouts and "Forbidden" errors
for some member sites.

We are working to resolve the resulting problems as quickly as possible.

I take it that the 403's were back again last night...
Just a harmless explorer. No need to waste taxes checking me ;)
