We're trialling SSL/TLS (page encryption) on UEGA to help increase user privacy.

Basically it helps prevent workplaces from snooping on your writeups and upcoming explores ;)

Besides the green https in the url, you shouldn't notice any difference.

If you have any devices that can't access the site, let me know. Although, unless you still use Windows XP, there should be no problems!

Woo, no reason for forums not to have SSL these days.

Just so people are aware, some organisations perform SSL intercepts which basically function as man-in-the-middle attacks - so your're not always safe :P

Then again, this may just be me.

Agreed! Cheap, minimal effort, and only slightly higher resource usage.

I should re-word my original post to be slightly less definitive :P Although, besides maybe some government organizations, the general user probably doesn't have to worry about this.
