So I've been exploring abando's and drains for just over a year, and would love to go rooftopping based in Sydney. Any tips would be great!

Like I've said in other threads:

1. find big building
2. take lift as high as you can
3. take fire stairs the rest of the way
4. find roof door and go to roof

Difficulties:
- lifts usually require a pass to operate
- fire stairs lock behind you
- the roof door is always locked
- other security measures may be in place

Figure out how to fill in the blanks yourself and you'll be fine

Your spot on mate! Also good to remember that most fire stair doors tend to trigger an alarm when opened..🔥

Not in my experience - less than half have latch-depressed alarms, and those are typically programmed to go off after a certain period (such as 5 or 10 minutes) of the door being open. I've never seen one with any type of alarm than this.

do the fire exit doors often have a alarm?
if by fire exit you mean doors into the stairwell. Some buildings have cameras facing the doors, so you gotta get in quick. Some have magnetic sensors. Some have the phattest alarms you've seen in your life and you should definitely find another way in.

yea most people on this discussion are right, only problem with roofs in Sydney (especially high ones) is that many have locked doors leading to the roof. So if you don't want to risk getting done for picking the lock which is basically trespassing, its pretty hard to find many good roofs.
