Hey, my names Alex.
Living in Newcastle.
I've found plenty of strange places while dirt biking, not sure how much urban exploration there is to do around here though.
After searching for "+Canyon" here, I'm surprised canyoning hasn't been mentioned before. Nobody?

I guess theyre more like bushwalking than urban/trespassing though some of the Qld canyons are a bit of both, so it turns out

Yeah, In NSW there are a few canyons based around old shale oil mines that can be explored. I thought there would be a few here that can appreciate a natural 200m sandstone crack as much as a 5m man made pipe.
