Charleroi is amazing. Not only does it have the semi abandoned metro, but also some amazing industrial ruins down by the river and the historic heart of the city. Plus the best kebab shop outside of Northcote. :)

And from Charleroi it is a quick drive to Luxembourg, a free country to your list.

Drive!? Obviously i didnt mention i was backpacking. Im legging it where i can, n biking it if the prices are reasonable, n train or bus to other cities.
On a side note i did 30km over the course of today...i probably shoulda forked the €14 for the bike but ive taken a hardline stance on my budget,

I do the same on travels. Money saved today can mean I have more to spend on a cooler / better experience tomorrow.
